5G network contiguous coverage realized in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hangzhou

At the “5G, Creating a New Era of Digital Economy” forum held on the 21st, Chen Zhaoxiong, deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that at present, China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom have opened 86,000 5G base stations nationwide, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, etc. 5G network contiguous coverage is realized in these cities. It is expected that more than 130,000 5G base stations will be opened nationwide by the end of the year.

At present, the three major operators have opened 5G package reservation service. The data shows that the number of appointments exceeds 10 million. It is expected that the 5G package will be released as soon as the end of this month.

Next Year, there will be a trend of changing to 5G mobile phones

Zhao Ming, president of Glory, said during the conference that Glory’s first 5G mobile phone will be released in November. Lei Jun, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, said during the conference that he plans to launch more than 10 types of 5G mobile phones next year, covering the medium and high-end markets.

Some experts said it is expected that there will be a trend of changing to 5G mobile phones in the second half of next year, and the price at the flagship stores will also be mainly 3000-6000 yuan. Some mobile phone manufacturers even said during the conference that “they’re especially worried that the sales of 4G mobile phones will decrease significantly next year”.

“Remote Series” of 5G Application take the lead

The user remotely controls the slider to slide on the rough and smooth surfaces. With the low delay feature of 5G, the feedback of touch can be returned, so that the user can recognize the smooth surface and the rough surface.

Driverless and long-distance driving can be said to be a 5G application that is closer to consumers. During the conference, the 5G long-distance driving car has already been running on the road in Wuzhen. When the driver sits in the fixed “car” at home, he/she can remotely control the car on the road.

In telemedicine, the 5G cloud clinic ophthalmology remote clinic sends patients’ data through specific devices to invite doctors in Beijing to consult.

In addition, in March of this year, there was a successful case of remote surgery, that is, a high-definition video image transmitted in real time through a 5G network, and the doctor remotely operated the surgical instrument to complete the surgery.
