On the morning of October 20, the 6th World Internet Conference officially kicked off at the Wuzhen Hall, Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center. Looking back, almost every time when the volunteers of the conference showed up, their costume caught a lot of eyeballs.

Combining “Wuzhen Blue” with the Concept of “Integration and Co-existence”

From the “Blue and White Porcelain” to “Wuzhen Blue”, the little dress of “Little Sycamore” volunteers showcases the style of the conference. In fact, at every Internet Conference, the costume of “Little Sycamore” volunteers is designed based on several characteristics of Wuzhen.

In 2018, the design idea of the costume of “Little Sycamore” volunteers was mainly inspired by the “water” culture of the Water Town, South of the Yangtze and the traditional “Dragon” concept; in 2017, the idea was based on the outlines of the “bridges” at Wuzhen; in 2016, the cheongsam embroidered with the sacred green birds and phoenixes was a beautiful scenery during the conference...

So what about this year? It can be seen that the color of the costume is mainly blue as before. Inspired by the architecture of the Water Town which is styled with black eaves and green tiles, the design of the outline of the costume is based on this architectural rhythm. The front upper part and cuffs are decorated with blue and white porcelain flowers and delicate embroidery with silver lines. The buckle of the neckline is exquisitely decorated. The windbreaker is decorated with exquisite stone-lion hydrangea buttons in a simple and generous shape. The design style co-inspired by tradition and fashion presents the design concept of “integration and symbiosis” and conveys the distinctive theme of the World Internet Conference.

A Sense of Design Found Everywhere in the Details of the Costume

In addition to the soft and beautiful cheongsam that can reflect the essence of the Water Town, South of the Yangtze, the smart suit is also very eye-catching.

“The suit has two types: men’s and women’s. The wasp-waist design of the women’s suit highlights the feminine curves. The pockets are embroidered with blue and white porcelain in silver line, while the asymmetrical design of the trousers highlights the sense of fashion. For the men’s suit, the jacket pockets embroidered with blue and white porcelain in silver line echo with the women’s, and the straight-leg trouser shows a sense of formality. The inner white shirt is embellished with a buckle and the cuffs are embroidered with silver line. The details show the exquisiteness.” said Cao Qing, the designer.
