On October 20, while the 6th World Internet Conference was held, the Agricultural Bank of China held a brand release conference of smart outlets with the theme of “5G+ scenarios”. The World Internet Conference has settled in Wuzhen permanently for six years to date. Digitalization and intelligence have permeated every aspect of the town south of the Yangtze River. The first smart outlet of the Agricultural Bank of China on Ziye Street has been equipped with a facial recognition device at the entrance of its business hall. There is neither a queuing machine nor a voice calling system, yet the lobby manager can also know the information of clients on the large screen.


In the past, it usually took twenty or thirty minutes to queue up in a bank for an issue which can be solved in minutes. At lunch break, only a window is opened, which makes people more anxious. One year ago, the Agricultural Bank of China turned the outlet on Ziye Street into a smart bank, which is 2 km from the venue of the World Internet Conference. After the “one-stop handling” is realized, it takes 25 minutes only to deposit RMB 1 million, more than 30 minutes shorter than at a conventional counter. Due to the full coverage of 5G, whenever a tough issue is encountered, they can connect with an expert of a bank at a higher level for help at any time, who will help the clients in a face-to-face way.

When the door of ATM machine is opened, the machine will say “the smart voice business is available in this device”. The reporter has not carried a bank card, and said softly, “face swiping for withdrawal of RMB 800”. Soon the machine showed three Agricultural Bank cards registered with the name of the reporter and asked the reporter to choose one account. After verifying the identity, the reporter smoothly withdrew a cash of RMB 800. in fact, within minutes, the smart bank’s facial recognition system and smart voice identification system has quickly judged the correctness of user’s information, guaranteeing the security through limited face swiping for withdrawal of money.
