In 2020, NSM will hold exhibitions: The Silk Roads: Before and After Richthofen and Stories of the Silk Road Treasures which open on June 19th, 2020, and lasts till August 23rd, 2020. In conjunction with the exhibitions, China National Silk Museum will host a three-day seminar on June 20th-22nd that explores different aspects of Silk Road such as the Silk Road exhibitions, collections, cultural heritage, and curating experience.

This seminar is aimed at building a platform for museum staff and trainees to share and communicate their experience of Silk Road curating. The speakers of the seminar will be experts and curators from all over the world. They will give lectures related to the Silk Road in the field of their professions, analyzing the current curating situation from diverse perspectives, and providing more possibilities for future Silk Road exhibitions.
