During the 2019 Spring Festival holiday, Qianxi Village in Yantan Town of Yongjia County, ZhejiangProvince welcomed groups of foreign visitors who were attracted by the grasshopper shaped small boats on Nanxi River. The unique natural views of blue waters and pleasant birds’chirping adding radiance to each other engraved their memories.

There were more than 100 foreign tourists, most of whom were students from the University of Lyon in France. After visiting Yubei Village and Yuantou Village, two ancient villages with a history of over a thousand years in Yantan, the QianxiVillage was the last stop in their journey.The clean and clear water kept their stay until the dusk.

A 19-kilometer sightseeing route “Demo Belt of Revitalizing Antique Villages along the Nanxi River” has been built and it connects 14 villages along the Nanxi River. CCTV’s report on the grasshopper shaped small boat race on Nanxi River during the Dragon Boat Festival last year has also promoted the tourism and local villages’ businesses of homestays and farm stays here.

Different views such as “Flowery Yuantou Village”, “Ancient Yubei Village”, “Jiana Farm” and “Colorful Qianxi Village” with Nanxi features further branded the tourism of the area.  By the end of 2018, Yantan Town had gained achievements of two large projects with a total investment of more than 2 billion yuan and 1.2 million tourists.
