With the airstrip planning area of Xiaoshan International Airport on the ground and Hangzhou Subway Line 1 underground, the intersection point of Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Ningbo Expressway is projected to begin construction in June.

The expressway is designed to ease the traffic burden of Hangzhou-Ningbo Highway and serve as another fast pass between Hangzhou and Ningbo. It is set to become China’s first smart engineering project and the hallmark of the construction of Greater Bay Area and Greater Channel of Zhejiang Province. Currently, pre work for Hangzhou-Shaoxing part is in progress.
