At 11:42 on June 8, a woman on the sixth floor of a hotel in Hushan Street, Jiangshan City, Quzhou, tried to commit suicide by locking the door and jumping out of the building due to a quarrel with her husband. The situation was very critical.

After receiving the alarm, Hushan Fire and Rescue Station dispatched seven firefighters with a rescue vehicle and a climbing vehicle to the site for rescue.

After arriving at the scene, the firefighters of Hushan Fire and Rescue Station found that the woman was standing on a windowsill on the sixth floor of the hotel. The door of the room had been locked and could not be opened. Moreover, the woman's mood was extremely unstable and she was in danger of falling down at any time.

After learning about the situation, Wang Junlong, the on-site rescue commander, immediately determined the rescue plan: persuade this woman by meeting her requirements as much as possible, stabilizing her mood; others need to clean up the ground and spread the life-saving air cushion just in case of any emergency.

After consulting with the woman's family members, on-site police, civilian rescue forces and the firefighters decided to have two firefighters wait on the seventh floor and descended by cable to kick the woman into her room.

They used four fire rescue ropes to set up four anchor points on the rooftop as protection. At the same time, they suggested the family members talk patiently with the woman to eliminate her irritability and disappointment as much as possible.

As the woman's attention was distracted, firefighter Xu Zhuwen and a member of the Red Cross Emergency Rescue Team quickly descended from the seventh floor by cable drop, kicked the woman into the room with one foot, and the remaining members quickly kicked the door open and controlled her. The woman's attempt to jump was successfully intercepted and she was rescued and handed over to the civil police on the spot. The woman was unharmed.
