On May 17, heaps of black technology offered opportunities for both citizens and tourists to enjoy new experiences in the Hubin pedestrian zone, Hangzhou. On this very day, the first landmark of outdoor 5G live studio in China - "5G Live Studio by the Lake" officially opened. Henceforth, chances are that people hanging around the West Lake will easily run into a live broadcast.

Hangzhou is striving to build a "smart city" featuring "domestic leading and world-class” technology. To forge the "most intelligent" pedestrian zone nationwide, Hubin pedestrian street has spared no effort to build the first "5G application show block" in China ever since it was drawn into the first 11 pedestrian streets which are to be reconstructed and upgraded by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The Hubin pedestrian zone has achieved full coverage of 5G and Wi-Fi signals for various data and commercial facilities, and full application of mobile payment is also available. In due course, a series of 5G smart applications, such as 5G video security system, 5G intelligent logistics, 5G UAV cruise, 5G HD VR experience, and 5G new retail, will be rapidly deployed in Hubin pedestrian block.
