1.Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS): Non-immigrant Visa Holders May Apply For Extension of Stay


USCIS issues notice recently, in view of special circumstances of the current pandemic, people with non-immigrant visa types are allowed to apply for an extension of their stay in the United States or change their identity, the spokesman said.


The F-1 and J-1 held by international students and visiting scholars, business investigation B-1 as well as family visit or tourism B-2 are all non-immigrant visas.

2. The House of Representatives Overwhelmingly Passed Nearly 500 Billion Aid Bills


On the afternoon of April 23, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a $484 billion aid bill to help small businesses, hospitals hit by pandemic crisis \ to strengthen virus testing,.


 

3.PPP4 Application Resumes


Small Business Administration of the United States announces a Pay Protection Plan (PPP) to help companies continue to hire employees during the coronavirus crisis, and the application is resumed at 10:30 Am, April 27, EST (today).


The Payroll Protection Program is a loan designed to directly help small businesses to pay employees. If a small business owner keeps an employee for eight weeks, he can get a non-repayable loan for wages, rent, mortgage interest or utilities.

 

 

4. Trump Uses Administrative Orders to Prohibit Shutdown of Meat Factories


The outbreak of pandemic hit the supply of meat in the United States, and more and more meat processing workers were infected and even died, Meat processors consider stopping work to avoid epidemics; President Trump announces on April 28th that he will issue administrative order to prevent the meat factories from stopping work so as to stabilize the meat supply; while trade unions of meat produce require Trump to guarantee the work safety of 1.3 million employees.

Former Republican federal senator from Arizona (Jeff Flake), who often criticizes President Trump says that if Trump completely loses in the presidential election in Nov. 2020, it will favor the long term development of the Republican party.  Although he's a Republican, he says, he is very willing to turn his coat and vote for Democratic candidates in this year's presidential election.

7.First in USA: 2 Pet Cats Confirmed in New York   7 Tigers and Lions Are Also Infected in Zoo

9.The Luke Air Force Base Flight Team Will Salute Medical Staff

 

Luke Air Force Base and Arizona Air Force national guard, will organize the 56th fighter  wing and the 944th fighter wing, as well as 15 aircraft of the Arizona Air National Guard 161th refueling unit, plans to carry on the flight performance on May 1 to pays tribute to the medical worker in the front line of the battle against the pandemic.
