According to Joyson Electronics on April 17, its subsidiary, Joyson Automotive Safety System Co., Ltd. (JSS), is currently cooperating with Ford Motor to produce reusable medical isolation clothing and protective mask components in several North American factories to provide urgently needed medical equipment and protective equipment for medical personnel, emergency workers and patients fighting against COVID-19.

In the United States, General Motors, Ford Motor, Fiat Chrysler, Tesla, and other car enterprises have begun to produce masks, medical protective clothing, respirators and other kinds of badly needed medical supplies, becoming the main force in the fight against the epidemic. JSS joined these enterprises earlier this month.

JSS uses airbag fabrics to make medical isolation clothing that can be washed and reused up to 50 times. The weekly production volume is 75,000 pieces and will reach 100,000 after April 19. JSS is assembling and sewing breathing mask headbands for the production of much-needed breathing masks by Ford Motor.

The employees of the JSS voluntarily engaged in the production of isolation clothing and protective masks headbands. In order to ensure their safety, the plant has adopted protective measures, including enforcing distancing at the production sites, and has taken all necessary measures to provide a clean and safe working environment for employees.
