Residents to be offered free-of-charge respirators in Hangzhou

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the demand for face masks or respirators is growing. With masks in short supply, Hangzhou, the capital city of East China's Zhejiang Province decides to offer the local residents facial masks free of charge, in order to ease their difficulties in purchasing. 


Starting from 7:30 pm on Feb.1st, each Hangzhou resident is allowed to reserve five respirators every 10 days. People can make their reservations through the WeChat account of the Hangzhou Municipal Medical Security Bureau. Once successfully reserved, residents will enjoy a delivery service by the government. The resident-friendly measures are to be put on a trial run at seven districts of Hangzhou City, including Shangcheng, Xiacheng, Jianggan, Gongshu, Xihu, Binjiang, and the Qiantang New Area, according to a new notice issued by the local government.
