What does the word "mother" mean to you? Love and warmth? Or giving and sacrifice?

Many mothers near us have to abandon their dreams in reality. However, Shen Zihan, a student of Grade Six in Jiulian Primary School of Hangzhou, who fully understands and supports his mother to work hard for her ideal, even has included his thoughts into the picture books he created.

His picture books consist of two parts. The first part was finished last summer holiday and the second part "Pick up the Fallen Stars" has also been finished recently.

The second part is an extension of the first part, which tells a story about a pilot trying to return to modern times from ancient times. Shen said the theme of the picture book is "Dedicated to all people who are enthusiastic in their career" and is also a depiction of the experience of his mother Pan Jie (an assumed name).

"I am very proud of my mother." Shen Zihan said. The experience of his mother made him realize that it’s never too old to learn. Mother is also a source of inspiration for his creation. The changes of his mother after learning made him glad, so he wanted to blend his feelings into his picture books. "I feel that she is more outgoing and works harder after she stays with excellent people. Everyone has things he or she wants to do. Everyone should try to fulfill his or her ideal. The plane in the picture book is a symbol of the things we are enthusiastic in. We may encounter many setbacks, yet as long as we insist on, we will overcome all setbacks ultimately."

Pan Jie graduated from Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree. Since she had a dream to study at Peking University since her childhood, in order to realize her dream and set an example for her child, she applied for the MBA program at Peking University, took interviews and was pre-admitted and took a national test...After overcoming all difficulties, she was admitted by Peking University in June 2019.

The courses studied by Pan Jie were arranged every weekend, two whole days. From the start of the school in September 2019 to the end of the term days ago, for more than four months, Pan Jie made over 25 round trips to and from Beijing. She took a “high-speed train” to attend the class, yet she had never asked for leave or come late.

Pan Jie said, the new learning had opened a new world to her and brought her a sense of achievement and broadened her horizon, making herself grow. And the growth of the mother also offered more positive help to the kid. “There is a study tour in my graduate program. I want to go with my kid during the holiday and study abroad for weeks, which will surely a good experience.”

In the view of Pan Jie, though she has to undertake a lot of duties as a mother, it is also important to fulfill her own dream. "The road ahead may be bumpy, yet we must try to fulfill our dream rather than turn it into pity. I wish my kid can understand this."
