The third session of the 13th National People's Congress of Zhejiang Province opened at 9: 00 a.m. on Jan 12th in the Provincial Great Hall of the People. Yuan Jiajun, Governor of Zhejiang Province, gave a report on the work of the government.

After discussing the report, Ji Zhihai, Deputy Chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Overseas Chinese and Chairman of the Italian Association for Friendship between Overseas Chinese and Chinese, was interviewed by Zheshang magazine. He said that the report was extremely encouraging. 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of PRC. The past 70 years have seen great changes in China thanks to its economic development. People are living happier and more prosperous lives. As an overseas Chinese businessman, he was very excited to witness this historical moment.

He thought it was good that the "Zhejiang Province Private Enterprise Development Promotion Regulations" were about to become law. Zhejiang's private economy has been highly characteristic and vigorous. The Regulations will stabilize Zhejiang's economy and promote innovation in Zhejiang's private economy.

Ji Zhihai has attended the Provincial People's Congress and the provincial CPPCC for three consecutive years as a member of the provincial CPPCC. He has submitted over 70 proposals, many of which were rated as excellent. As a nonvoting delegate of the Provincial People's Congress this year, Ji Zhihai viewed the change in his status as such: "A total of 15 overseas Chinese attended the Provincial People's Congress and the Provincial CPPCC, which is unprecedented. I think this reflects the provincial CPC committee and government's emphasis on overseas Chinese, which makes overseas Chinese feel proud."
