Xiaoyuan Subdistrict of Anji County, Huzhou has become well-known for the 24 stories of filial piety, where filial piety culture, book culture and tailor culture have gathered and been well-established.

In recent years, Xiaoyuan Sub-district has been actively seeking transformation opportunities and established a "micro holidaying" tourism brand. Since 2017, Xiaoyuan Sub-district has successively attracted and introduced a batch of major projects such as High-speed Railway Avenue, Anji campus of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and Film Town.

Renovation of the town

In the autumn, as you walk into Xiaoyuan Sub-district, the originally uneven roads have become wide and tidy, and a parking lot has been built at the old streets where cars were randomly parked in the past. The ecological parking lot offers space for nearly two hundred cars. As a result, the originally crowded streets have become orderly.

In the town renovation of Xiaoyuan Sub-district, such livelihood projects are everywhere. The landscapes have been improved. Riverside footpaths have been built, parks and green space of 13,000 ㎡ have been built. The night views of old streets have been created to satisfy the demand of tourists at night. According to the statistics, since the town renovation was launched, Xiaoyuan Sub-district has adopted a combination of warm and bright colors to renovate 18,000 ㎡ of facade along the streets, paved about 10,000 ㎡ of roads, renovated more than 90 store signboards and cleared more than 1,000 small advertisements...The town has taken on a new look.

Mining cultural characteristics, building a new town of countryside tourism

In recent years, Xiaoyuan Sub-district has fully mined its local filial piety culture, tailor culture and cloud skirt culture and blended the combination of cloud skirt culture and tailor culture into each corner of the whole region, which is reflected in every detail. The tailor culture has permeated in different places such as ornaments and landscape walls.

Additionally, Xiaoyuan Sub-district has also mined its local cultural characteristics, focused on introducing industries and explored the new modes of modern public cultural services with local elements, shared by residents and tourists and integrating culture and tourism.

Starting from April this year, Li Xiliang, the Party branch secretary of Shangshugan Village, led the villagers to keep improving the tourism facilities of the village such as Rainbow Slide and register and establish companies to further develop the village’s collective economy, contributing wisdom and strength to the building of a cultural creativity town with the theme of "Cloud Skirt Town" and a new town of countryside tourism blending industries.

Revitalize the countryside by integrated development of three industries

The release of the Overall Scheme on the Comprehensive Reform and Innovation Pilot Zone for the Practice of "Two Mountains" Theory in Anji County of Zhejiang in the New Era has brought great benefits to the practice of Two Mountains theory and gaining of environmental benefits. The scheme strives to promote the policies such as integration of culture and tourism and has brought new development opportunities to Xiaoyuan Sub-district.

Since the beginning of this year, Xiaoyuan Sub-district has innovatively introduced a multi-functional mobile office platform as a mobile service vehicle for the people, delivering services from door to door with the mode of "Party-People Connecting Vehicle". Currently, 80% of the social service issues of the sub-district for the people have been included into the service scope of the Party-People Connecting Vehicle.

Green mountains and lucid water are picturesque. Nowadays the construction of "Cloud Skirt Town and New Town of Countryside Tourism" has turned out for the best at Xiaoyuan Sub-district. With the deep implementation of thematic education, Xiaoyuan Sub-district will continuously consolidate its fruit in the comprehensive environmental improvement of the town and improve the people’s happiness and sense of gain.
