A 400-meter-long painting is added to the beautiful sceneries along the embankment of Qiantang River. On the afternoon of October 27th, it was drizzling. On the east side of Xixing Bridge, south bank of Qiantang River, there gathered a crowd who participated in the 2019 painting activity, "The Same Qiantang River - Sea Pond". More than 400 people including primary and secondary school students, college volunteers and parents from all over the province participated in the activity. Participants used colorful paints to express their blessings to the 70th birthday of New China and their ideas about the protection of Qiantang River.

The painting activity started in 2011 and has been held for nine years. The activity attracted people from all over the province, including teenagers, to participate in the protection of the water resource in Qiantang River, to advocate the concept of co-constructing and sharing of ecological environment, and to promote the sustainable development of Qiantang River, which played a positive role. According to statistics, with an addition of 400-meter-long painting drawn this year, the cumulative length of the painting is 11.1 kilometers, which continues to hit the record, remaining the longest painting along the sea pond in the world.

In 2019, the establishment of "beautiful rivers and lakes" with high standards is the primary task of the ten tasks of people’s livelihood in Zhejiang Province, to provide a powerful impetus to accelerate the pace of water control. This year’s painting activity, the activity has recruited 70 outstanding artworks from the whole province with the theme of "the magnificent seventy years" and "beautiful rivers and lakes". On the same day, the original authors were invited to draw the wall on the spot. Hangzhou is about to hold the Asian Games. This painting activity has chosen the embankment near the Olympics Center, aiming to spread the urban culture of Hangzhou to more people and let more people understand the spirit of Zhejiang.
