On the evening of October 15, Jack Ma was granted a Lifetime Achievement Award on the 2019 Global Forbes CEO Conference to commend him for carrying on and advocating the entrepreneurial spirit worldwide and helping a generation of people to succeed through the internet.


Jack Ma is the world’s first internet industrial leader to win the award in the past 13 years of the event.

“You’ve not only made achievements in your own company, but also empowered the entrepreneurs of China, America and the world’s and enabled small businesses to do business on the internet, receive credit loans through the Alipay, which has not been paid much attention from the conventional banking system before.” Steve Forbes, the chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media Group told Jack Ma, “I think, you deserve a Nobel Prize for your original aspiration and achievements.”


Depending on AI technology and big data, Alibaba has solved the financing difficulty of millions of small and micro-sized businesses and created more than 40 million jobs for the society.


Jack Ma said, “Many small business don’t know how to do business, so we help them. The banks don’t know how to help small businesses, so we help them...In the past 20 years, we have been thinking of how to solve social problems rather than complain. Today, I am very proud to see that the lives of numerous people have been changed with our efforts.”

As the most influential commercial magazine in the world, Forbes set up the Lifetime Achievement Award of Malcolm Forbes in 2006. In the past 13 years since its establishment, only 7 entrepreneurs have won the award around the world. Jack Ma is the first and only winner from the field of internet technology.
