The Liang and Zhu series designed by a student named Youxin Huang attained Ningbo’s cultural characteristics. He interpreted the classic Eastern love story of Liang and Zhu by cartoons from the perspective of the young.

The Liang and Zhu series were also exhibited in the 2019 China (Ningbo) Cultural Industry Fair and got widely praised. Products like traveler tea sets, suitcases, oiled paper umbrella, mobile phone cases, and mouse pads were sent to Liangzhu Cultural Town for mass production.

The “Kiss of Dongqian Lake” series designed by Jiangze Mei and Chunyi Zhang was inspired by “spiral shells,” one of the four treasures of Dongqian Lake. “When eating spiral shells, pinch a spiral shell between thumb and index finger, suck it lightly. This eating move inspired our design, so we named our design Kiss of Dongqian Lake.” After several times of discussing and organizing, they decided to adopt Chinese and English elements on the package of products such as lunch box, chopsticks, and canvas bag, of which Chinese characters were in a traditional script, and English words were in bold and sans-serif font and the logo illustration was the hand’s movement of pinching a spiral shell. “We want to infuse elements of nostalgia and fashion into our works, meet today’s young customers’ aesthetic taste with strong local characteristics and Chinese style.”

“Qi Lv - artistic derivative design,” created by student Yonggang Fan, was a perfect integration of artworks and design derivatives. His works filled the gap of graphic design nowadays and were a successful case of introducing arts into life. The excellent visual effects of these works were praised unanimously by the judges.
