Xu Xuefen, 54, hails from Qintian County of Zhejiang Province, a hilly county with a population of about 550,000. The county was once called "the closest place to globalization" as it has over 300 years' history of migration and is home to another 330,000 people who live in 128 countries and regions around the world.

Xu went to Italy with hopes to earn a good living 34 years ago and married a local policeman whose family has been in the ice cream business for more than 60 years. Seeing that the business environment in her hometown is satisfactory and that local governments are ready to offer help whenever they have a problem, Xu resolutely decided to bring the Italian ice cream back home.

According to Xu, a great many overseas Chinese hope to bring their dreams back to homeland.
