Anji Salamanders are endemic to China. In 2012, the eggs of the hynobius amjiensis were discovered in Zhejiang’s Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve for the first time, which confirmed that a certain population of hynobius amjiensis distributed in the nature reserve. This is the first time for Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve to release the imitating ecotype sub-adult hynobius amjiensis. These hynobius amjiensises will be put into multiple breeding puddles for reproduction.
