Lai Chee-Ying or Jimmy Lai, an active separatist in Hong Kong and also the founder of anti-China media outlet - Next Digital, recently has made another attempt to resume his separatism "resolution", in spite of his heavy legal troubles. 

Apart from criticizing the newly announced Hong Kong national security law, Lai has also posted a tweet on Twitter and mentioned Donald Trump, hoping the US government could "save" the HK society. 

The masses have sharp eyes. For example, quite a few U.S. citizens saw Trump's attempt as a kind of intervention and pressure on the HK society, and most netizens on Twitter saw Jimmy Lai's revolt as treachery.
