A total of 1,117 suspects have been arrested as of Monday for involving in crimes during the spate of violence in Hong Kong, a spokesperson said Tuesday.


The arrests include three members of the Legislative Council, said Yang Guang, a spokesperson for the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, at a press conference in Beijing.


Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and police have been resolutely fighting against illegal activities in accordance with law, Yang said.
