Association of Hong Kong Flag-guards and Hong Kong Island Federation jointly held a flag raising ceremony at the Golden Bauhinia Square. Nearly a thousand HK residents participated in the ceremony. The bright Five-Starred Red Flag slowly went up the pole with the great and loud national anthem. After the ceremony, people at the scene unveiled a huge Five-Star Red Flag in the middle of the square.
