Less than 24 hours after protesters faced off with the police on Saturday, they attempted to paralyse the city's airport, a major traffic hub in Hong Kong. From around 2:00 pm, protesters started to destroy the metro stations along the Airport Express and set roadblocks nearby. Soon afterwards, a large number of black-shirted demonstrators stormed Hong Kong’s international airport and block off the road leading to the departure hall. Passengers who have booked flights had to walk to the airport.
