Black-clad protesters staged a sit-in demonstration. Some of them continuously irradiated with laser pens towards neighboring buildings.

At 8 p.m. on August 28, black-clad protesters rallied at the Chater Garden of Hong Kong, and the assembly led to traffic congestion nearby.

Quite a few black-clad protesters climbed up to the roof of pavilions

The assembly finished at aroung 10 p.m.. The leaders of the assembly claimed that more than 30,000 people participated in the demonstration. The Hong Kong Police indicated that the number of participants exceeded 11,500 during the peak period. 

After the assembly, quite a few persons scribbled on the advertising boards with bad comments in protest.
