On December 11, the "Beautiful China - Picturesque Zhejiang" Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference was successfully held in Los Angeles, California, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

An elegant and smoothly-flowing long-sleeve dance was staged, kicking off the Conference. The well-produced video and the passionate culture and tourism promotion showed the guests the picturesque landscapes of Zhejiang Province, the profound charm of Zhejiang culture and the diversified and wonderful tourism of Zhejiang Province in three chapters: observation, inheritance, and enjoyment. A piece of live cello music, "Homesickness" by the famous Chinese-American Yoyo Ma was played, to evoke a sympathetic cultural response from the attendees.

The wonderful dance performance, that showed off the characteristics of regions south of the Yangtze River, won warm applause from the audience. In the exhibition area, the attendees enjoyed and experienced our intangible cultural heritage in a friendly atmosphere, with items such as fan art, stone carving, and the tie-dye technique of the time-honored brand "Wangxingji".

Gu Jin, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, said in his speech that both China and the United States have rich historical and cultural resources, and that culture has become a bridge and tourism has become a channel. “We should give greater encouragement to continuous exchanges between the people of the two countries: visiting each other’s countries to understand and experience the local culture and to go sightseeing, which will enable the people of the two countries to have a better understanding of each other.”
