Wenzhou's cross-border e-commerce volume reaches 3.36 billion yuan in the first half of 2019

Cross-border e-commerce helps foreign trade expand new growth space. Reporters learned from the Wenzhou Commerce Bureau that in the first half of 2019 cross-border e-commerce volume achieved its goal, with 3.36 billion yuan ranked fourth in the Zhejiang province.


In the first half of 2019, Wenzhou's cross-border e-commerce retail volume reached 3.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 36.5%, an increase of 0.7% above the province's average growth rate. It merely lags behind Jinhua's 18.68 billion yuan, Hangzhou's 6.9 billion yuan and Ningbo's 3.51 billion yuan. The cross-border network retail volume in Zhejiang province amounted to 35.2 billion yuan, and cross-border e-commerce retail volume in Jinhua, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou accounted for 92.2% of the whole province.


Cross-border e-commerce has become Wenzhou's new engine to transform foreign trade and upgrade consumption. In Pingyang , 144 cross-border e-commerce companies have been started up, with 170 million yuan cross-border online retail volume achieved. The county's online retail volume reached 6.112 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth rate of 23.15%. Since 2019, Pingyang County has built the first cross-border e-commerce park Qiling Ge as the carrier, constructed a one-stop integrated service system for cross-border e-commerce, established and improved the e-commerce industry chain, such as pet products, leather products and massage appliances, and formed a cross-border e-commerce industrial cluster combining B2B and B2C. As the only provincial-level e-commerce innovation development pilot in Wenzhou, Pingyang invested 50 million yuan to establish Pingyang Digital Business Center, providing services for more than 5,000 entity enterprises and 15,000 household enterprises.
