A conference on promoting Yangtze River Delta integration in Zhejiang province was held in Hangzhou on June 21. All of the 11 cities of the province are required to promote the high-quality development of Yangtze River Delta integration from all dimensions.

Hangzhou plans to build some cooperation demonstration zones with surrounding cities such as Shanghai and Hefei in the near future. What's more, it is pushing forward construction of belts and valleys including the Grand Canal cultural belt and the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Valley. 

Ningbo will accelerate the construction of significant rail lines and highways including the Shanghai-Jiaxing-Ningbo, Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou, Jinhua-Ningbo and Ningbo-Zhoushan railways. Moreover, industrial clusters of automobile, green petrochemicals, high-end equipment and electronic information are being constructed with high efficiency.

Wenzhou is to focus on strengthening cooperation with key industry platforms and major universities such as Fudan University and Zhejiang University in the Yangtze River Delta region to establish an innovation alliance.

Huzhou will speed up construction of the State-level Mogan Mountain high-tech zone and Huzhou science and technology city, attempting to introduce 150 industrial projects, each worth over one billion yuan ($145.37 million), and to attract more than 300 leading innovation and entrepreneurial talents from Shanghai by 2020.

With the influence of the Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang, Jiaxing held the first Yangtze River Delta Global Science and Technology Innovation Project Roadshow in April, attracting 1,075 projects, 385 of which settled.

A modern new city centered on Jiaxing South Station and a high-quality urban cultural center which has Nanhu as its core are being constructed with high speed.
